Terms of service
1. Who we are
Retainers for Life, Inc. ("RFL", "we", "us") sells custom orthodontic retainers manufactured by certified United States dental laboratories to the specifications provided by your treating orthodontist. This site is operated at rflretainers.com.
2. This is not dental care
RFL manufactures and sells custom appliances. We do not practice dentistry or orthodontics, we do not diagnose, and we do not provide treatment advice. We manufacture to the specifications on file from your treating orthodontist, who remains responsible for your treatment — including whether a retainer is appropriate for you and how it should be worn. Nothing on this site substitutes for professional dental care. If you are experiencing pain, tooth movement, or any dental concern, contact your orthodontist.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. If you are ordering for a minor, you must be their parent or legal guardian, and you are responsible for the order and for the information you provide about them.
4. Accurate information
You are responsible for the accuracy of the patient name, orthodontist, and shipping address you provide. Because appliances are built to a specific patient's anatomy, incorrect information can produce an appliance that cannot be used. We cannot remake an order at no charge where the cause was information supplied incorrectly.
5. Scans and specifications
We manufacture from a scan and specifications obtained from your orthodontist's practice. By ordering, you authorise us to obtain those records from your practice for the purpose of manufacturing and delivering your appliance.
6. Smile Protection Plan
Enrolment is a one-time fee that unlocks member pricing on future retainers for the enrolled patient. Member pricing applies to the enrolled patient only and is not transferable. Membership is not a subscription and does not renew.
7. Pricing and payment
Prices are in US dollars and may change. We charge at the time of order. Where a practice discount code is applied, that code is issued by your orthodontist's practice, and its validity is determined at checkout.
8. Orders we cannot fill
We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, where the specifications cannot be resolved, the required records are unavailable, or we believe the order was placed in error or fraudulently.
9. Intellectual property
The content on this site is owned by RFL and may not be reproduced without permission.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RFL's total liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted here at the time of your order governs that order.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or your order will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
